Canning and Preservation Workshop
|
What a day it was at our canning workshop! We made Strawberry Freezer Jam and Blueberry Jam using two different preservation methods! Participants were able to take home both types of jams after learning more about Water Bath preservation and Freezing. We had lots of laughs and great conversations all around while cutting up and smashing strawberries!
Thank you - Tracey Perry of Ohio State- Vinton County Extension for coming and sharing her knowledge with us on canning! It was fun and educational! Thanks for testing canners for participants and checking them over for safety. Thank you - Ashley Kasler of Athens-Meigs, Gallia, Lawrence County Farm Bureaus for making lunch possible for our lunch and learn! It was great! Way to go and Thanks to - Tracy Winters of Ohio State - Gallia County Extension and Tiffany Riehm of Gallia County Soil and Water Conservation District for coordinating the workshop and providing supplies for all participants to take home jam they made in the workshop! |
