Raina Fulks Memorial Scholarship
On November 8, 2018, the Gallia Soil and Water Conservation District dedicated this scholarship to Raina Fulks who was an avid environmentalist that passed in November 2018. She served as Gallia’s Floodplain Administrator for 6 years and served Meigs SWCD for 7 years as their Watershed Coordinator for Leading Creek. The Raina Fulks Memorial Scholarship offers an opportunity for college-bound agricultural and/or natural resources students. This scholarship program recognizes a deserving student with a long-term career interest in agriculture and/or natural resources and rewards them with funding to assist with his/her college education.
2027 Scholarship Application coming soon....
It is a $500 scholarship for a student attending college with an interest in agriculture or natural resources; this includes Environmental Sciences too. If their major is in question, they are encouraged to still apply. Deadline to have all pieces of the application turned in is April 30th. Please return to 111 Jackson Pike Suite 1569 Gallipolis, Ohio 45631 by 4pm.

Raina Fulks Memorial Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to this year's Raina Fulks Memorial Scholarship Recipients Maggie Davis and Logan Deel.
Maggie is the daughter of Jon and Melissa Davis of Bidwell. Maggie is a 2026 graduate of Gallia Academy High School. Maggie has plans to attend Oklahoma State University this fall with a focus on Agricultural Communications and Animal Science. She “hopes to strengthen the connection between producers and the public while ensuring a strong future for the agricultural industry.”
Logan is the son of Kyle and Sarah Deel of Vinton. Logan is a 2026 graduate of River Valley High School. Logan plans include attending The Ohio State University ATI majoring in Agricultural Business. He would like to pursue a career in Ag Sales with a dream of one day becoming a salesman for a national feed company.
The Gallia SWCD Board of Supervisors and Staff send best wishes as these two are headed to Oklahoma State University and The Ohio State University ATI.
We are looking forward to the next set of scholarship applications. We encourage all graduating seniors and college students studying any agricultural or natural resources related majors to apply for the Raina Fulks Memorial Scholarship.
