Conservation Reserve Program CRP |
CRP is a Farm Service Agency (FSA) program with technical assistance from NRCS. CRP is a voluntary program for agricultural landowners and operators. It provides producers with a viable alternative to farming environmentally sensitive land. CRP provides participants annual rental payments and cost-share assistance in exchange for establishing long-term resource-conserving cover on certain eligible land. CRP provides a variety of options for restoring and protecting highly erodible cropland, wetland acres and other environmentally sensitive land. |
EQIP is a NRCS service that provides technical assistance and cost-share payments to producers. EQIP plan/s of operations are developed with producers and conservation professionals. The goal is to help landowners protect soil and water resources with EQIP funds dedicated to putting dollars in the hands of individuals. Floodplain Administration
Flooding is one of the most common and destructive natural disasters we experience. Developing structures/residences in a flood prone area is dangerous and there are certain requirements that the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) dictates the county to adhere to.
If you are located near a small stream, creek, or river, please contact us to verify if a floodplain permit is necessary. Don’t assume you are NOT in the floodplain because you have never flooded. A simple phone call can determine this before you begin building. |
